Welcome to Regent Square

A small village nestled in the outskirts of downtown Pittsburgh

Tucked between Parkway East to the south and Forbes Avenue to the east sits the small neighborhood of Regent Square. The area is composed of a charming village community bursting with eclectic shops, delicious restaurants, and stunning architecture. This outdoorsy neighborhood sits beside Frick Park, a 400-acre historic park offering playgrounds, hiking trails, baseball fields, and more. Regent Square also offers a village-like business district with wide streets and welcoming local shop owners. A family-friendly sense of community is at the heart of the Regent Square neighborhood, and there is something exciting and new to experience for everyone.

In 2017, Regent Square was named the #1 neighborhood in Pittsburgh and the #17 best neighborhoods in the United States by Niche. Its community-focused design continues to draw residents to the neighborhood, and with its proximity to many educational institutions, Regent Square is home to young professionals, families, and students.

Local Lifestyle

With a population of just over 4,000, Regent Square embraces the bliss of small-town living. The highly walkable streets, stunning single-family homes, and fun business owners who go above and beyond for their community make Regent Square an idyllic piece of Pittsburgh. Residents come for the accessibility of the city and stay for the comfortable lifestyle Regent Square has to offer.

Dining, Entertainment, and Shopping

To accommodate the outdoorsy lifestyle, Regent Square is home to Three Rivers Outdoor Company, an outdoor specialty shop funded by crowd-sourcing and used gear. Owners Chris Kaminski and Christine Iksic strive to connect, promote, and advocate for a life well lived in the outdoors. The store hosts special events, hiking and climbing opportunities, and clubs to connect the community to the beautiful Pittsburgh outdoor spaces.

Looking for fantastic restaurants with high-quality service and extensive menus? Regent Square’s got you covered. Try El Burro Comedor, a Mexican restaurant offering the biggest burrito in Pittsburgh. Their menu is expansive and accommodates meat-lovers, vegetarians, and vegans, all with creativity and spice!

According to the DeFlavio family, a neighborhood without a hotdog place is a tragic place to be, so they opened D’s SixPax and Dogz in 1999. They offer gourmet dogs and a menu that makes your mouth water. Try the Hot Valentine - sweet potato fries and sriracha slaw on a dog of your choice (all-beef, turkey, or vegan). From dozens of unique hotdog recipes to elaborate wings and pizza, D’s is a Regent Square favorite.

Dedicated to serving the Regent Square community, Square Cafe is the place to go for a delicious meal, cheerful service, and quality time with friends. They offer a seasonal menu with local ingredients and provide an art gallery space in their bright and welcoming restaurant.
